This was Australia's sprint world cup: Anna Meares won everything, Shane Perkins the sprint (relegated in the Keirin final) and Scott Sunderland the kilo.

Germany could improve their qualification time, but could still not pass the Australian Jayco team.

Carsten Bergemann was the fastest starter. I think, Germany is the leader in standing 250m.

Cofidis' Kevin Sireau, seems completely out of form. He rode 9th fastet 3rd lap time, 7 tenth slower than Scott Sunderland.

The big race inn the first round was heat 6 with Victoria Pendleton vs. Simona Krupeckaite and Vicky sent Simona into the reps.
